Following the Prime Minister’s statement last night we are now operating as per our lockdown contingency plan. The office team are now all set up to work remotely from their homes and we have piloting this for the last week to ensure a smooth transition. The Government has recently announced that fire alarm engineers have been identified as key workers so we are working with our excellent team of engineers to deal with emergency calls only. We will try and provide technical assistance over the phone in the first instance where this is appropriate. We are also very aware that buildings with a risk to life such as care homes, sheltered housing and residential blocks are the highest priority and these will be treated as such. Our call out service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by dialing 01983 407155.
We are mindful that we all have a duty to comply with the Governments instruction to only make work journeys on an essential basis and to practice the laid down social distancing measures to reduce the spread of the virus whilst still providing a suitable response to emergency situations. As such all planned service visits and non-essential installations have been cancelled until we return to normal.
In the event that our engineers need to attend a site to a emergency reactive call, they are of course under instruction to follow the PHE and Government guidelines in respect of social distancing and hygiene and we would greatly appreciate our customers assistance in this matter.
This is of course an ever changing situation for us all and we will be reviewing our policy and working practices to meet any changes that occur.
In the meantime please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance.
