Help For Heroes
During August 2010 Wight Fire supported the Sailing For Heroes event in Cowes. This was a roaring success for all who took part and the event raised valuable funds for an extremely worthy cause!
Christmas Wishes 2009 - Donation
This year we have chosen to make a donation to "Friends of Beaulieu" instead of sending Christmas cards to our customers and suppliers. Beaulieu House is a wonderful respite centre for children, and provides essential support for families across the Isle of Wight. Friends of Beaulieu is a charity primarily run by parents, and they are currently looking to raise £20,000 for a play park that will be suitable for the children.
Shanklin Football Club, Under 11's
Wight Fire sponsor the Shanklin Football Club Under 11’s team. The boys have had a very successful season, they finished 4th in the league and were triumphant in the summer pre-season Oakfield tournament. The boys are all looking forward to the new football season in the Under 11's league.

Charity
Christmas Cards - After the successful feedback of last year, we again chose to make a donation to the Earl Mountbatten Hospice and Naomi House instead of sending Christmas cards to our customers and suppliers.
Walk the Wight 17th May 2009
A team of Wight Fire employees walked 26.5 miles across the Isle of Wight for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice on the 17th May 2009. The rain and gale force winds meant the Wight Fire t-shirts had to stay under our jackets, but we kept going and and between us raised £545. Our blisters have finally disappeared and we hope next year the sun makes an appearance!
